Territory Business Manager

Position Summary

The Territory Business Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory, achieving or exceeding performance targets, by engaging in and building long term, strong relationships with healthcare professionals. This role involves promoting products, delivering value-based sales presentations, and achieving established sales performance goals while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethics. The individual in this position will operate effectively in highly competitive markets, demonstrating resilience and strategic agility to achieve success.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $117K - $120K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effectively promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals within the assigned territory to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Foster and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals including pediatric specialists (where applicable) to build trust and loyalty, ensuring the consistent use of promoted products.
  • Efficiently prioritize daily tasks, appointments, and administrative responsibilities to maximize productivity and customer engagement.
  • Conduct impactful value based effective sales presentations tailored to the needs of healthcare providers, utilizing clinical knowledge and healthcare expertise.
  • Demonstrate patient centricity by communicating product features and benefits in a way that supports improved patient outcomes.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans by analyzing sales data, identifying opportunities and leveraging strategies to outperform competitors.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the pharma or life sciences industry.
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to industry standards and internal policies.
  • Analyze metrics and sales data to assess performance against objectives.
  • Effectively manage shifting priorities and ambiguity while staying focused on achieving outcomes.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and medical affairs, to ensure alignment within customer engagement efforts.
  • Leverage digital tools and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to streamline administrative tasks and communication.

Education/Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven results in relevant B2B sales experience or documented sales experience demonstrated high-performing sales results in pharma or life sciences field. Less experience may be considered for highly skilled candidates.
  • Experience in Dermatology, Allergy, or Pediatrics a plus.
  • Proven experience thriving in fast-paced, competitive environments while maintaining high-performance standards.
  • Successful history of outside territory management with a record of accomplishment of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Adapt seamlessly to ambiguity and shifting priorities while staying focused on goals and achieving results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Adherence of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use digital tools effectively.
  • Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement data-driven strategies.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving required.
  • Ability to travel weekly as needed.
  • Successfully pass all required Amplity and client training.

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
