Full Job Description
The consultant will provide operational and service delivery support for the provisioning, activation, migration, management, and lifecycle coordination of telecommunications services across hospital, clinical, ambulatory, administrative, and remote-work environments.

The consultant will serve as a primary coordination point between internal IT teams, business stakeholders, telecommunications carriers, and service providers to ensure telecommunications services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established service levels and operational requirements.

Scope of Services;

Telecommunications Service Ordering & Provisioning: Manage end-to-end telecommunications service orders from request through provisioning, activation, validation, and operational handoff. Coordinate the ordering, modification, migration, and disconnection of carrier services, including:
MPLS/PIP services
Dedicated Internet Access
SD-WAN connectivity
Fios and broadband services
Comcast Ethernet Network Services (ENS)
Teleworker Internet services

Voice and VoIP services: Submit and manage orders through carrier account teams and carrier service portals. Track service orders, installation dates, dependencies, milestones, and completion status.

Voice & VoIP Service Delivery: Coordinate Verizon and other carrier VoIP service orders, including new site implementations, telephone number assignments and porting, service migrations, feature changes, upgrades, and disconnects. Lead and coordinate telephone number porting and migration activities. Participate in scheduled carrier and internal service-delivery meetings.
Provide after-hours support for planned migrations, porting events, and other activities when required.

Carrier & Vendor Management
Coordinate service delivery activities with telecommunications carriers and service providers including Verizon, Comcast, Breezeline, LanguageLine, Iron Bow, and other authorized providers.
Utilize carrier portals and account teams to submit orders, manage services, monitor requests, and escalate service delivery or repair issues. Monitor carrier performance against committed installation dates and service-level expectations.
Proactively escalate delays, order fallouts, provisioning issues, and service-impacting conditions.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate activities across Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IT Support, Provisioning, Finance/TEM, project teams, and business stakeholders. Serve as a primary point of contact for telecommunications service delivery activities. Provide clear and timely status updates regarding orders, installations, migrations, issues, risks, and dependencies. Coordinate activities affecting clinical and patient-care environments with appropriate priority and urgency.

Telecom Operational Support: Support telecommunications service requests including:
E911 provisioning and updates
LanguageLine services
Telephone number changes
Spam and nuisance-call mitigation
Voice feature changes
Carrier repair escalation
Service disconnects and relocations
Troubleshoot telecommunications order and provisioning issues in collaboration with internal engineering teams and external service providers.

Documentation, Inventory & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of telecommunications orders, service changes, carrier communications, installation activities, and service status. Support telecommunications inventory management and reconciliation. Generate and analyze reports related to telecommunications inventory, service utilization, budgeting, and operational activities. Maintain documentation necessary to support audit readiness and operational transparency.

Billing & TEM Coordination
Validate business-unit, department, location, and cost-center information associated with telecommunications services. Ensure new and modified services contain accurate billing information prior to handoff to the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) function. Assist with investigation and resolution of discrepancies involving telecommunications inventory, services, and billing.

Service Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and activation processes. Recommend improvements designed to reduce order cycle times, improve data accuracy, reduce provisioning errors, and improve stakeholder satisfaction. Assist with development and maintenance of standardized telecommunications service-delivery procedures and documentation.

Consultant Role: Role Title: Senior Telecommunications Service Delivery Consultant - Carrier Services & Provisioning The consultant should possess demonstrated experience supporting enterprise telecommunications environments and coordinating telecommunications services across multiple carriers, vendors, locations, and internal technology teams.
Experience within healthcare or similarly complex, highly available environments is strongly preferred.
