Overview/Summary: Our Client is a global professional services firm that provides engineering, design, construction, and consulting solutions across infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, energy, water, and government sectors.
As a BIM Designer, you will support design documentation and be responsible for setting up and managing Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline leads and team members. Working under telecom or project leads, you will apply Revit expertise while adhering Client BIM standards. Using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, you will develop coordinated 3D models across all disciplines (C, S, A, M, E, P, T, I, L) and produce 2D construction drawings. Collaborating with designers, architects, and engineers, you will translate telecom design intent into coordinated, clash-free, constructable deliverables.
Of Note: This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near one of our Client's 140+ U.S. based offices, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.
Primary Qualifications: - High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 3 years of BIM design experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry
- A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
- A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
- Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment
- Experience following client design and modeling standards
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests
- Willingness to learn new things
Preferred Qualifications: - At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience
- Understanding of data center environments
- Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio-visual systems
- Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems, fire alarms, access control, CCTV (Closed Circuit Television)
- Knowledge of control systems, network components and topology
