Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

The position is responsible for the planning and successful delivery of a mission-critical credit card product launch initiative-a complex, multi-departmental program with substantial interdependencies spanning product development, data architecture, regulatory compliance, marketing, operations, and technology infrastructure. Leading a matrixed team of data engineers, analysts, compliance specialists, and operational stakeholders, you will establish enterprise-wide governance structures and delivery frameworks to coordinate complex data requirements across multiple systems and business units. Success will be measured by on-time, on-budget delivery that meets quality, data integrity, and regulatory requirements while minimizing operational and reputational risk.

Join our expanding Toronto team and take on a pivotal role driving our top business priorities. You'll have the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that shape our growth trajectory, with meaningful exposure to high-impact projects and clear pathways for professional advancement.

What Will You Do?
  • Lead enterprise data strategy & integration: Manage complex data flows, mapping requirements across cardholder databases, transaction systems, fraud detection platforms, and analytics frameworks; ensure data consistency, security, and compliance across all integrated systems
  • Direct end-to-end program delivery: Independently manage the credit card launch from concept through go-live, coordinating design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare phases across technology, operations, and business functions
  • Manage critical interdependencies: Identify, track, and resolve cross-functional dependencies between data provisioning, systems integration, regulatory approvals, and operational readiness; develop mitigation strategies for data-related bottlenecks
  • Establish governance & controls: Design comprehensive program governance, including steering committees, data governance councils, change control processes, and risk escalation protocols aligned with enterprise standards
  • Drive data requirements management: Work with subject matter experts to capture, validate, and manage complex data specifications; coordinate data quality assurance, testing protocols, and legacy system migration planning
  • Manage complex budgets & resources: Monitor multi-million-dollar program budgets, coordinate cross-functional resource allocation, and manage vendor/third-party relationships for data services and technology partners
  • Perform advanced risk management: Conduct rigorous data risk assessments, identify integration failure points, regulatory gaps, and operational vulnerabilities; develop contingency plans addressing data integrity, security, and compliance risks
  • Provide executive visibility: Create sophisticated reporting dashboards, executive briefing decks, and stakeholder communications that translate complex technical and data challenges into clear business impact narratives
  • Lead through influence: Interface with C-suite executives, regulators, and external partners; manage stakeholder expectations and drive alignment across competing priorities
  • Champion best practices: Apply agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate; mentor teams on data governance, project management discipline, and operational excellence

  • Proven expertise in data requirements management, data governance frameworks, and managing complex data integration challenges in regulated environments

  • Expert-level financial and stakeholder management skills; experience presenting to executive leadership and regulatory bodies
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data requirements and communicate technical interdependencies to non-technical audiences
