The Technology Procurement Analyst - Austin, Texas (on-site) provides lead responsibility for procurement of materials and services, including IT software, hardware, and technology-related services. This role supports end-to-end procurement execution, vendor management, and operational process improvement while partnering closely with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant procurement outcomes.
Your Impact
IT Procurement & Operations
- Execute procurement activities for IT software, hardware, and services aligned to business needs
- Support full lifecycle procurement: intake, sourcing support, contracting, purchasing, and renewals
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely execution of procurement requests
- Maintain procurement documentation, contract records, and supplier data
- Balance price, quality, service, delivery, and commercial terms in procurement decisions
Technology & Application Support
- Partner with IT to understand application portfolio, licensing models, and technical requirements
- Support software lifecycle management including renewals, maintenance tracking, and license optimization
- Maintain working knowledge of technical requirements to ensure supplier alignment
- Assist in evaluating vendors based on technical capabilities, scalability, and cost
Vendor Management & Performance
- Support vendor onboarding, relationship management, and issue resolution
- Track vendor performance against SLAs, contracts, and service expectations
- Assist in identifying cost savings, vendor consolidation, and optimization opportunities
Market Analysis & Strategic Support
- Analyze industry conditions, pricing benchmarks, and supplier performance
- Prepare statistical analysis of market trends and procurement strategies
- Provide insights into cost drivers, renewal risks, and sourcing opportunities
- Support strategic sourcing and negotiation preparation
Operations & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve procurement workflows and efficiency
- Support automation, standardization, and documentation of procurement processes
- Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives and reporting improvements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, IT procurement, or vendor managementExperience supporting technology procurement (software, SaaS, hardware) preferred
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
- Certifications (Nice to Have):CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)APICS / ASCM certificationITAM or procurement-related certifications
