Qualifications- Candidates must have participated in and completed a Cigna Group internship prior to applying for this position.
- Education: Must have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field at the time of hire.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with SQL for database querying and management
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
- Awareness of data governance, data quality, and data integrity principles
- Courses & Experiences: Academic coursework, internships, or projects focused on data engineering, analytics, or large-scale data systems.
- Well Rounded:

Additional Information- Location: This position is based in one of the following office locations: Bloomfield, CT | Morris Plains, NJ | St. Louis, MO. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee's choice), and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Relocation assistance is not offered, and employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule for their assigned office location.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday starting February 15, 2027, or July 12, 2027.
- Work Authorization: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship including, but not limited to, H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM.
- Timeline: Process includes a recruiter screen and up to two interviews. Application window closes by mid-October 2026 or once filled.
- Compensation: Expected base salary is $88,000 for bachelor's graduates and $100,000 for master's graduates, plus competitive benefits.
- Pre-Employment Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72,400 - 120,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
