Job descriptionAs one of TD's top Technology Delivery experts, they are responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions and services, which are aligned by a broad suite of Products, Platforms and Shared Capabilities.
- Responsible for project delivery for the set of application in their scope, commissioning projects to be executed by Tech PMs
- Establish day-to-day management direction and define priorities and strategies consistent with the business goals and aligned to overall direction from Technology Leadership team for own area
- Communicate business vision / goal and portfolio priorities to team members (e.g. Application Owners / Development Managers, Business Systems Analysis, Platform / Service and/or Technology Project Managers etc.)
- Work closely with IT leadership to ensure on-going focus on reusability, scalability, and enterprise-wide solutions, to maximize returns on the suite of products
- Develop impact assessments and manage assigned portfolio delivery schedule and periodically perform risk assessments to manage operational processes consistent across the portfolio (e.g. time reporting)
- Monitor and manage Capacity Forecasting process compliance among Technology Project Managers and report on progress, status, and overall health of the portfolio and the individual applications
- Assist in the assessment of the scope and risk of projects; work with the client, project managers, and/or 3rd party vendors to ensure the development of broad project plans, budgets, and deliverables
- Working with partners across the enterprise and apply deep understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas and projects.
- Driving aspects of product teams related to development, execution and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions or services within a Platform, Product, or Project.
- Advance development and design practices for multiple businesses or enterprise level.
- Facilitating and developing solutions, total cost estimates, and deliverables and providing expertise and strategic counsel to enable the most optimal technology solution.
- Champion technical thought leadership and coach others, guide senior management on large complex, transformational or cross-business strategic initiatives.
- Developing, brokering, and delivering end-to-end services to business partners and present recommendations / integrated solutions where appropriate.
Skills- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- Graduate degree, preferred
- 7+ relevant experience
- Software proficiency: Using tools like Jira or Microsoft Project for task delegation, timeline monitoring, and reporting.
- Methodology knowledge: Understanding and applying frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall to different project needs.
- Risk management: The ability to identify, assess, and create mitigation strategies for potential project risks.
- Budgeting and cost management: Skills in creating, monitoring, and adhering to project budgets, including cost estimation and financial tracking.
- Scheduling and time management: Creating realistic project schedules, defining milestones, and managing dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
- Quality management: Establishing and maintaining quality standards, conducting checks, and taking corrective actions to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Scope management: Defining and controlling the project's boundaries to ensure it stays on track and achieves its objectives.
- Maintain knowledge proficiency in system development methodologies, key business initiatives and issues, IT implications for systems or technologies and their impact on business solutions
- Acts as a point of engagement for overall planning and partner management discussions with business leaders and technology partners and is involved in demand intake, capacity forecasting, project/platform lifecycle management, technology delivery, and service delivery relationships.
