Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Institute of Technology or university in metallurgical, mineral processing or chemical sciences required.
• Preference for candidates with knowledge of physical, chemical and metallurgical processes.
• Working towards or eligible for registration with ASTTBC is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team essential.
• Highly organized self-starter with strong time management skills necessary.
• Proficient in MS Office and experience with metallurgical modeling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives by adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Assist in the design and construction of lab setups and pilot-scale configurations.
• Update process drawings including flowsheets and P&IDs.
• Conduct technical investigations and gather data through plant sampling and measurements.
• Compile technical data and perform preliminary analyses.
• Support process development and project handover phases.
• Write detailed reports on test work and sampling activities.
• Communicate effectively with various personnel including supervisors and tradespeople.
