Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires diagnosing issues, utilizing multiple craft skills, and managing maintenance schedules and documentation. The technician supports emergency response efforts, coordinates with contractors, and complies with regulatory standards. By maintaining equipment and facilities to company quality and safety standards, this position contributes to uninterrupted business operations and supports continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic work environment.
What you'll do: - Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and test equipment to diagnose issues and determine replacement needs to minimize future repairs.
- Utilize blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and fixtures.
- Operate hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts ordering, and documentation including warranty claims and expense reports.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while coordinating with contractors and team members.
What you'll bring: - Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and documentation accurately.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with contractors and internal partners.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
