Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to create and maintain clear, accurate documentation for our window and door products. This role supports customers, installers, sales teams, and internal staff by delivering user-friendly technical content.

About the Position

• Develop installation guides, product specs, troubleshooting manuals, maintenance instructions, and sales support materials
  
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, sales, and manufacturing teams to gather technical data
  
• Tailor content for diverse audiences including installers, contractors, homeowners, and internal teams
  
• Maintain and update documentation for consistency and brand alignment
  
• Create basic diagrams and visuals to support written content
  
• Edit and proofread for clarity, accuracy, and style compliance
  
• Integrate feedback to improve documentation quality
  
• Follow and help refine documentation standards and templates
  
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent working experience in a related field
  
• 3 years' technical writing experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction
  
• Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CMS, and graphic design is a plus
  
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently or in a team

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $80,000 and $115,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
