The Position: Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Technical Writer will create technical documentation organize and bind third-party documentation, and compile and deliver customer documentation deliverables. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience writing a range of business documents, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced development environment. Candidate works with the Eclipse Management and department personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.
What You'll Do Here:- Provide support related to the process of creating technical publications for Eclipse Nuclear Projects.
- Provide Applications with insight and estimates for nuclear documentation content generation.
- Understand document audience and synthesize complex technical information into succinct technical content appropriate for end user requirements.
- Author new technical documents based on the design data such as requirements, specifications, calculations, FMEAs, reports, drawings and BOMs etc.
- Prepare document for customer submission and review. Dispositioning customer comments maintain project scope with customer satisfaction.
- Maintain document archive and store documents in an organized and consistent manner.
- Update existing documentation based on customer inputs and requirements.
- Create images to support content with technical illustrations and photography.
- Ensure scheduled milestones are met and status communicated with project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Project Management, and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering personnel to develop appropriate content for various nuclear project documents.
- Support Marketing, Sales, Applications, and Service, technical documentation needs.
- Engage in continuous improvement of overall approach and maintenance of Eclipse nuclear project documentation and process with a focus on output quality, content, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code.
- Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy.
- Maintain a good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision.

Travel
- Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 10% of time, however, may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs
What We're Looking For: Education:- Minimum requirement of a University Degree, Engineering Technologist/Technician college diploma, or Trades certification with technical field related work experience.
Experience and Skillset:- 3-5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the nuclear industry.
- Knowledge of nuclear industry technical communication standards, documentation practices, and terminology.
- Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated proficiency in proofreading, editing, writing, and interviewing subject matter experts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Microsoft Word.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and the ability to lead by example.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain consistency across multiple documents, deliverables, and projects.
- Familiarity with nuclear plant layout, basic operations, equipment, and reactor characteristics.
- Familiarity with nuclear plant maintenance standards and tooling maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with nuclear industry terminology and standard project document deliverables.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery dynamics, with the ability to read mechanical engineering drawings.
- Electrical and instrumentation aptitude, including an understanding of machine control logic and the ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including the ability to manipulate models to create custom technical illustrations.
- CSA N299 training or basic familiarity is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and ladder logic used to control complex automated tooling and systems is considered an asset.
