Full Job Description
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Relocation assistance may be available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Top Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Description We are looking for you to join our team as a Technical Trainer or a Principal Technical Trainer based out of Tampa, FL. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. What You’ll get to Do Responsibilities - Collaborate with Cyber Systems Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions. - Enhance system user experience through developer advocacy, utilizing feedback to champion developer needs and improve overall usability of technical products. - Develop range of instructional materials and products for technology-based courses, including online, immersive and performance support (e.g., computer-based training, videos, instructional guides). - Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. - Create and analyze assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and instructional improvement opportunities, including knowledge checks. - 10% travel required Basic Qualifications for Technical Trainer Education - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 3 years of relevant work experience - Master of Science Degree in a relevant field or STEM discipline plus 2 years of relevant work experience - 5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant field or STEM discipline with at least 3 years as a technical instructor/teacher may be considered in lieu of degree requirement - US Citizenship - Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance to be considered. TS/SCI clearance must be in place by the start date and must stay in place through employment. - Proven ability to lead training through in‑person workshops, virtual classrooms, and live webinars, for audiences ranging from engineers and product owners to senior stakeholders. - Experience collaborating with subject‑matter experts to craft storyboards, scripts, and visual‑narrative concepts that translate complex technical material into engaging learning experiences. - Experience creating operational procedures, quick‑reference guides, and other supporting documentation. - Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or comparable software) to edit, color‑grade, and add motion graphics/closed captions for high‑impact demos, step‑by‑step instructional walkthroughs, and reusable training assets. Basic Qualifications for Principal Technical Trainer Education - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 5 years of relevant work experience - Master of Science Degree in a relevant field or STEM discipline plus 3years of relevant work experience - 9 years of relevant work experience in a relevant field or STEM discipline with at least 3 years as a technical instructor/teacher may be considered in lieu of degree requirement - US Citizenship - Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance to be considered. Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
