Full Job Description
You'll Get To:
  • Leverage your accounting knowledge to deliver engaging and practicle training classes on BlackLine products, both in-person and virtually.
  • Translate complex accounting principles into clear, understandable concepts within the context of our software.
  • Meet assigned quarterly and annual delivery satisfaction and utilization targets.
  • Act as a trusted expert, sharing best practices and consulting with clients on how to best utilize BlackLine solutions to meet their financial close needs.
  • Collaborate with our Learning Experience Designers and other subject matter experts to ensure our training content is accurate, relevant, and impactful.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and customer success.
  • Stay current with accounting industry standards, implementation developments, and trends to ensure your expertise remains cutting-edge.
  • Represent BlackLine and the Training team at key customer events and user conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in corporate accounting or finance role (e.g., Accountant, Financial Analyst, Controller, Auditor). Education: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • BlackLine
  • Accounting/financial background
  • Public speaking
  • Project management
  • SaaS implementation methodology Other:
  • Ability to conceptualize and present technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to deliver virtual training with MS Teams, WebEx, or similar applications to both small and large audiences.
  • Ability to accommodate a global virtual and in-person delivery schedule outside of regular North American business hours.

We're Even More Excited If You Have:
  • Expereince using Blackline or other financial close automation software.
  • Experience with process improvement or system implementation projects.
  • Experience applying adult learning principles to instructor-led training sessions.
  • Experience in developing learning experiences through building effective class materials such as PowerPoint decks, student and instructor guides, lab exercises, and job aids.


Salary Range:
$95,000.00-$119,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model - for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
