Work You'll Do

As a Project - Lead Software Engineer II on the project, you will:
  • Lead all technical development activities in support of the development of this new technical capability.
  • Provide technical guidance across a product team and will be responsible for understanding both the backend and frontend architectures of the product under development.
  • Lead a team of developers to be able to effectively maintain, debug, and advance the features of the production system by working effectively as a team.
  • Use Git source control, Jira ticketing for bugs and features, and documentation development on Confluence.
  • Remain flexible to changes in the technology stack and to learn new skills independently as the needs of the product change over time.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required TS/SCI clearance for this role
  • 7+ years of technical development experience utilizing technology such as PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Node.js, FastAPI, Keycloak or similar
  • 3+ years of experience leading development teams
  • Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Rancher
  • Experience with both on-prem and Cloud deployments
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Bethesda, MD, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Bethesda, MD and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000 to $208,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
