DescriptionTechnical Security Specialist - Personnel Security and Foreign TravelIn this role you will be responsible for supporting the personnel security functions and foreign travel processes for the agency. This role involves coordinating foreign travel briefings, managing travel requirements, and updating security clearance systems (e.g., DISS). Additionally, you will provide personnel security support, including updating local security databases and maintaining accurate records in compliance with Federal Security guidelines (e.g., NISPOM)

Responsibilities:- Perform daily tasks to ensure the security of DCMA assets, personnel, and information through adherence to physical, information, and personnel security protocols.
- Assist in the development and integration of security policies, procedures, and manuals under the guidance of the Security Program Team Lead.
- Assist customers with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) for OCONUS travel.
- Schedule and provide foreign travel briefings, coordinate ISOPREP, and confirm DTS travel for OCONUS visits, including researching country-specific security requirements.
- Support Personnel Security by updating the Defense Information Security System (DISS) and Electronic Security Personnel File (EPSF) with accurate information.
- Maintain records and update internal databases for Personnel Security and Counter-Insider Threat programs.
- Handle Learning Management System (LMS) training tasks, including managing course content, assisting with questions, and coordinating course schedules and instructors.
- Submit remedy tickets to address issues with the Personnel Accountability Assessment System and ensure data accuracy in security-related systems.
- Support the Security Assessment program by managing database updates, editing technical documents, and coordinating scheduling and feedback sessions with customers.
- Assist with updating and revising security-related manuals and documentation, ensuring they align with current government standards and policies.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead and Program Manager to submit foreign travel briefing packages, remedy tickets, and policy/manual revisions for review
- Works with customers for scheduling and feedback sessions for the Assessment Program.
- Technical editing of formal assessments using government policies, benchmarks and quality assurance tools.
- Updating databases Access, SharePoint, and Power BI
Minimum Requirements: - Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: 3+ years' experience in personnel security operations
- Required: Functional knowledge of DISS
- Required: Functional knowledge of the NISPOM
- Required: Functional knowledge of the Remedy or ServiceNow Ticketing System
- Required: Operational knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Desired: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at senior leader levels
