SummaryThe Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key strategic accounts, and developing new business opportunities across assigned markets. This role serves as the primary commercial and technical interface between Luxfer and its customers, ensuring successful execution of customer programs from opportunity development through production and delivery.
Essential Functions of the Job- Achieve sales, profitability, and growth objectives for assigned product lines and markets.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies for key customers while identifying new business opportunities.
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned strategic accounts and development programs.
- Coordinate customer programs from quotation through commercialization, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, technical requirements, and delivery expectations.
- Lead customer reviews and internal cross-functional meetings focused on program status, risks, actions, and milestones.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
- Support forecasting, capacity planning, and S&OP activities.
- Represent Luxfer at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Travel up to 40%.
Job Skills and Requirements- Strong technical and commercial aptitude.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage schedules, risks, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of aerospace, defense, hydrogen, industrial gas, composites, or engineered products preferred.
Education/Training RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. Five or more years of experience in technical sales, business development, program management, or customer-facing engineering roles.
