Description

Markon is seeking a Technical Recruiter to provide full life-cycle recruiting and sourcing support across the enterprise. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and delivering highly qualified candidates for active requisitions, strategic growth initiatives, and contingent/capture opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive talent acquisition professional with experience supporting government contracting environments, building candidate pipelines, and identifying hard-to-find talent through creative sourcing strategies. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

 

This is an on-site position requiring attendance five days per week. Candidates must be able to work from the Falls Church, VA office or split time between Falls Church and either Chantilly, VA or Columbia, MD, as required.

Responsibilities
  • Execute creative and targeted sourcing strategies to identify and attract candidates for current and future hiring needs, including capture and incumbent opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of candidates using direct sourcing, referrals, cold calling, social media, career fairs, and ATS tools.
  • Develop sourcing approaches to identify candidates with hard-to-find skill sets under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Generate and maintain a high-volume, high-quality candidate pipeline.
  • Screen and assess candidates for fit against current and anticipated requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Provide weekly recruiting and pipeline reports to supported hiring teams.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with hiring managers across assigned portfolios.
  • Actively manage the candidate experience throughout all phases of the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Support additional recruiting and talent acquisition activities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 0–5 years (preferred 1-5) of recruiting and sourcing experience within the government contracting environment.
  • Proven ability to meet aggressive sourcing and hiring goals.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and engaging cleared passive candidates through multiple sourcing channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational, reporting, and presentation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to work on-site five days per week at the Falls Church, VA office, or a split on-site schedule consisting of two days in Falls Church and three days in either Chantilly, VA or Columbia, MD.

Desired:

  • Recent experience (within the past year) recruiting fully cleared candidates in the Maryland area.
Salary RangeUSD $75,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
