About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to lead engineering hiring. You'll own the full engineering recruiting funnel-from sourcing and outreach to closing-while building the internal systems that will scale our technical organization. This role sits at the intersection of technical recruiting and people operations, and will be foundational to how Picogrid's engineering team grows.

What you'll do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and operational roles (hardware, software, systems, and field).
  • Partner with leadership to define hiring needs and build role profiles.
  • Design and optimize recruiting processes from sourcing to interviews to offers.
  • Source, engage, and close high-caliber candidates across multiple disciplines.
  • Build and manage Picogrid's talent pipeline for critical roles.
  • Represent Picogrid's mission and culture to every candidate interaction.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 years focused on software and hardware technical recruiting.
  • Proven ability to source and close top technical talent in competitive markets.
  • Experience recruiting for early-stage startups, defense, aerospace, or frontier technology is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder both internally and externally.
  • Highly organized and data-driven; you track metrics and iterate systems.
  • Mission-oriented: you want to solve hard problems that matter to national defense.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to thrive in resource-constrained, high-ambiguity, and fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with the defense technology landscape, including an understanding of procurement cycles, ITAR/EAR compliance, and the specific challenges of mission-critical systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing full-cycle recruiting processes, including ATS configuration and implementing reporting metrics.
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements for roles like Backend SWEs, DevOps, and EEs, and translate them into effective sourcing strategies.
  • Experience leveraging talent data (e.g., market trends, diversity metrics) to guide sourcing strategy and influence hiring manager decision-making.


Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $120,000- $150,000 per year. Base salary is just one part of your total compensation package at Picogrid.
