Own delivery across Elysia's US BESS engineering portfolio, balancing product development, customer commitments, defects, technical debt and engineering capacity across interconnected hardware and software projects.
You will initially bring structure and control to live US projects. From around six months, the focus expands into improving the wider PM function through better processes, automation, data and AI.
Role: Technical Project Manager
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California
Work Model: Hybrid
Compensation: $140,000 - $152,000 base salary, plus a 15% annual bonus, with the opportunity for the bonus to increase to 20%.
What You'll Do:
- Own the US BESS engineering delivery roadmap across hardware and software.
- Manage dependencies, capacity, risks, customer commitments and technical priorities across projects.
- Set up and run projects using Jira, Confluence, Structure.Gantt and RAID processes.
- Align project plans with the wider company portfolio and identify delivery risks early.
- Build customer and portfolio reporting using Jira, Confluence, Power BI and automation.
- Embed Elysia's delivery standards across the US team.
- Work closely with engineering, product and technical leads to resolve delivery issues.
- Improve the PM function through automation, AI and better-connected tooling.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in technical project or programme management within an engineering or technology environment.
- Experience working across hardware and software development.
- Strong project planning, governance, risk and dependency management skills.
- Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence. Wider Atlassian experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working closely with engineers, technical leads and product teams.
- Experience improving project processes, tooling or ways of working.
- A practical interest in automation, data and AI.
- Become the first Technical Project Manager in the US and help build the delivery function.
