Collaborating with our Technology Consulting team, you will help organizations streamline operations and achieve strategic goals to serve the public better. We provide the full spectrum of technology consulting services to help state and local agencies meet operational and program needs that enhance the lives of their user base.

Project Management Responsibilities
  • Support federal, state, and California oversight requirements, including compliance reporting, audits, assessments, control body reviews, PAL artifacts, stage gate documentation, and coordination with oversight entities.
  • Apply knowledge of Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA), system lifecycle management, CMS expectations, and related reporting artifacts.
  • Lead and support project planning, bringing experience developing and maintaining work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, and related artifacts in accordance with agency standards.
  • Monitor project performance against approved scope, schedule, budget, quality expectations, and delivery milestones, with the ability to identify variances, recommend corrective actions, and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and action items, applying sound judgment in documentation, analysis, mitigation planning, and status reporting.
  • Prepare high-quality project and governance materials, including status reports, dashboards, decision logs, meeting materials, leadership briefings, executive steering committee materials, and oversight documentation.
  • Coordinate effectively across programs, vendors, system integrators, business owners, technical teams, oversight entities, and client leadership to support integrated delivery in complex public sector environments.
  • Support enterprise project and portfolio management disciplines, including intake, prioritization, dependency management, roadmap alignment, multi-program coordination, and executive reporting.
  • Facilitate meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions, using strong communication skills to document outcomes, decisions, follow-up activities, and next steps.
  • Analyze project data, trends, and performance indicators to identify delivery risks, improvement opportunities, process enhancements, and recommended corrective actions.

Core Consulting Responsibilities
  • Apply public sector program, service delivery, and regulatory knowledge to help clients improve operations and outcomes.
  • Interpret federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and requirements into practical client recommendations.
  • Evaluate programs, operations, and service delivery models to identify efficiency, compliance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct research, assess best practices, and provide technical assistance to support client decision-making.
  • Manage projects, workstreams, staff, and tasks with limited supervision while meeting timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Facilitate client discussions, stakeholder meetings, and working sessions using strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Coordinate daily project functions, client interactions, team assignments, and follow-up activities to support delivery accountability.
  • Delegate responsibilities, guide team members, and promote collaboration across project teams.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality reports, presentations, client materials, and other deliverables for varied audiences.
  • Support practice growth through sales activities, proposal development, writing teams, and high-quality submissions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Reside in California

This position is hybrid with travel/onsite requirements. To be successful at PCG, you must:
  • be available during your set working hours
  • have a safe, private, and distraction-free environment in which to complete your work, and
  • be able to give your full attention to the completion of your PCG job duties

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave

Range: $70,100 - $120,000
