About the Role

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our digital team and drive technical projects from conception to deployment. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between development teams and stakeholders, manage agile workflows, and ensure successful delivery of software and digital integration projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who wants to grow their project management skills while staying connected to hands-on development work.

This role is for individuals able to work in our New York Office and will be working on digital marketing products that include the Bravo website, NBC Insider, Peacock Blog and NBC Affiliate Marketing websites. The Technical Project manager will facilitate technical integrations with internal NBC Platforms, 3rd Party vendors and help with AI integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end coordination of technical projects including web applications, API integrations, and digital platform implementations
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
  • Create and maintain sprint plans, user stories, and technical documentation
  • Serve as the primary liaison between development teams, product owners, editorial teams and stakeholders
  • Track project progress using agile metrics and tools, identifying and resolving blockers
  • Maintain project tracking systems in Airtable or similar platforms, ensuring accurate sprint velocity and burndown metrics
  • Review technical specifications and provide input on feasibility and timelines
  • Find and grow opportunities in the AI and Agentic AI space, working with internal AI Taskforces and staying ahead of the curve on the latest developments.
  • Support QA processes and coordinate deployment schedules
  • Identify opportunities to streamline development workflows and improve team efficiency


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in technical project coordination, software development, or related technical role
  • Light coding experience (HTML/JSON, JavaScript, Python, Selenium or similar) with ability to understand technical discussions
  • Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and technical integration concepts
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Airtable, Asana, Trello, Github, or similar)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced technical environments with shifting priorities

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile Project Manager role
  • Hands-on experience with Analytic Tools (Adobe, mParticle) REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys), and integration workflows
  • Proficiency with Git/version control concepts and workflows
  • Working knowledge of Airtable, including automations, and API usage
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), Drupal a Plus
  • Bonus: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Bonus: Understanding of database concepts and data modeling
  • Bonus: Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or similar agile certification
  • Bonus: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field or experience.
