Job Description

PotomacWave is looking for a Facilities Technical Project Manager to join our team supporting a Federal client in Washington, DC. The individual supporting this position will assist the Facilities Division and support the management of construction, maintenance, and repair of facility infrastructure projects. The candidate will also support the Facilities Division Director by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of these projects, as well as other construction and renovation efforts within secure facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate project and program initiatives supporting the Department of Energy Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for projects under individual's responsibility, ensuring clear accountability and communication.
  • Define the scope of work for assigned projects by first determining and documenting project requirements.
  • Coordinate project management functions, including schedule management and resource management.
  • Provide guidance to customers regarding IT requirements, office moves, facility changes and other related expectations.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to support facilities operations and space planning initiatives.
  • Serve as the system owner for the Facilities Division ticketing system and coordinate with system administrators to implement required changes and enhancements.
  • Coordinate administrative requirements supporting personnel onboarding, offboarding, and office relocations.
  • Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures and other program documentation.
  • Collaborate with building management and appropriate stakeholders to resolve maintenance issues within secure areas.
  • Using clear and open communication, become a trusted advisor to the customer, seeking strong integration with the overall customer team.
  • Coordinate and execute stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring timely communication, feedback collection, and alignment of project deliverables with stakeholder needs during implementation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to manage furniture, equipment, phone, and other IT requirements for the project, ensuring all activities align with the project schedule.
  • Create agendas and documentation for project team meetings, including capturing meeting minutes and supporting meetings to review project requirements and status.
  • Prepare and present project information for management decisions.
  • Maintain facilities-related floor plans, records, directories, and supporting documentation.
  • Quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Establish excellent rapport with clients, stakeholders and team members, and successfully navigate issues to resolution.
  • Support the identification and capture of lessons learned related to successful and unsuccessful project elements and assist leadership in turning them into best practices.
Qualifications:

  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management certification.

  • Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and SharePoint). Knowledge of Jira is desired.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis to discern and address the root cause of project-related issues.
  • The selection of an individual for this position may be conditioned upon his or her successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.

Salary range $90,000 - $118,000
