This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

This role reports to the RF Systems Group within the Lunar Permanence business unit. As part of a growing, hardworking, and curious team of design engineers, you'll work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners on the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Permanence system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond Earth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Lead technical project management for RF component development projects supporting Blue Origin's Lunar Vehicles.
- Apply expertise in project management, technical product maturation, and organizational development to create efficient, cost-effective solutions for the Lunar landers.
- Support the RF Systems team in developing and maintaining technical, cost, and schedule baselines.
- Prepare for and support program reviews, including those with Lunar Permanence Senior Management.
- Help establish and maintain the Lunar vehicle meeting and review operating rhythm.
- Develop robust plans to meet deliverables and manage key operating metrics, including technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Contribute to RF Systems product roadmaps, including the development and integration of technologies to meet program milestones and future derivatives.
- Partner with internal and external customers to understand and shape current and future mission needs.
- Interface with external vendors and suppliers to manage RF hardware procurement, development schedules, and technical compliance.
- Provide high-caliber technical leadership by coordinating with the RF Systems Director, IPTs, and supporting Blue Origin business units.
- Monitor technical progress, budget, schedule, deliverables, and risks; recommend changes to Lunar RF Systems and Vehicle Directors as needed.
- Communicate progress to leadership through program management reviews, finance reviews, long-term forecasting, and project deep dives.
- Apply sound engineering and business judgment to ensure products are efficiently designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
- Support Agile-based planning and execution.
- Collaborate with other RF Systems Technical Project Managers to establish best practices and streamline processes across IPTs.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering operations related to avionics/electronics new product introduction.
- Experience with MS Project and Jira.
- Experience with design/build/test project methodology, including critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management.
- Strong team leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to build trust and maintain positive, professional relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering/scientific field.
- Experience with space hardware procurement and supplier management.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience with flight hardware development and qualification.
- Experience with Confluence and Primavera P6.
Base Pay Range for:
