Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in banking technology and hands-on delivery of investment or wealth management portals. This individual will lead complex, cross-functional platform initiatives spanning account onboarding, portfolio views, performance reporting, and trading/order workflows. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency to engage architects and engineers with the ability to manage executive stakeholders, compliance partners, and third-party vendors in a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities - Pro gram & Delivery Management
- Own end-to-end delivery for investment/wealth portal initiatives, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Manage full project lifecycle using Agile and hybrid methodologies across cross-functional teams.
- Maintain program governance with RAID logs, dashboards, and proactive escalation of risks.
- Investment Portal / Platform Delivery
- Lead portal delivery for client/advisor-facing capabilities (account aggregation, portfolio performance, holdings, statements).
- Coordinate integrations with core banking, custody, portfolio accounting, market data, and CRM systems (Aladdin, Addepar, Envestnet, SS&C, Temenos, FIS, Fiserv).
- Define onboarding workflows including KYC/AML checks and account opening.
- Manage release planning and testing cycles (functional, integration, UAT, performance, security).
- Technical Oversight & Architecture Coordination
- Collaborate with architects on API design, data integration, SSO, and hosting decisions.
- Ensure security compliance with enterprise standards for financial and PII data.
- Maintain technical depth to support delivery teams and unblock sprints.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as primary liaison between technology, business sponsors, compliance, and operations.
- Manage vendor relationships including deliverables, SLAs, and contract milestones.
- Communicate status clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure regulatory controls across SDLC, change management, and audit processes.
- Drive defect remediation for issues identified in testing and reviews.
- Support operational readiness including BCP/DR planning prior to launch.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of project/program management in banking or financial services.
- 5+ years delivering investment/wealth portals (onboarding, portfolio reporting, trading, aggregation).
- Solid technical understanding of APIs, web services, SSO, and data pipelines.
- Proven Agile/Scrum delivery experience with JIRA, Confluence, and roadmap tools.
- Working knowledge of compliance/risk processes in regulated banking.
- Strong understanding of asset management operations (custody, portfolio accounting, KYC/AML, client statements).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Project management certifications: PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Aladdin, Addepar, Envestnet, SS&C Black Diamond, Temenos, FIS/Fiserv.
- Experience leading cloud migrations or platform modernization in banking.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FINRA, SEC, GDPR/CCPA).
