Job Summary
The Technical Project Delivery Manager will support one or more technology projects and delivery teams, partnering with product, program, and engineering/technology leaders to implement modern iterative delivery practices. The role will be responsible for planning, tracking, and managing project and team activities, including dependencies, risks, releases, status reporting, and delivery prioritization. The position will support predictable project delivery, stakeholder alignment, continuous improvement, and a collaborative delivery culture within a large enterprise technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Align project scope, objectives, and roadmaps with product, business, and technology strategies.
• Manage multiple low- to medium-size or complexity projects, or a single high-visibility project with significant complexity or risk.
• Partner with product, program, and technology leaders to develop plans, identify risks and dependencies, and establish release schedules.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure transparency through structured communication channels.
• Lead and manage activities supporting backlog prioritization, planning, and execution across multiple projects or complex initiatives.
• Track and report delivery health to stakeholders using leading and lagging indicators.
• Facilitate trade-off discussions using empirical delivery data to support milestone achievement.
• Drive shared accountability for delivery based on capacity, quality standards, and business value.
• Identify, manage, and communicate project risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate internal and external communications and training plans to support project execution.
• Implement and refine delivery processes using data insights and historical trends to improve predictability and efficiency.
• Optimize workflows and work sequencing to support continuous delivery and reduce context switching.
• Identify lifecycle-based strategy updates and opportunities for improvement to maximize project outcomes.
• Manage quality standards, technical debt, incidents, and change processes to support engineering excellence.
• Manage integrated release processes and ensure readiness across teams with clear communication.
• Motivate and guide teams by fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Support team formation, training, and continuous improvement through feedback and learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in project or delivery management roles.
• Experience supporting technology delivery teams in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience with project planning and roadmap development, including defining scope, objectives, and timelines aligned with business goals.
• Experience managing schedules, resources, and budgets for complex projects.
• Strong risk and dependency management skills, including release readiness.
• Experience using delivery metrics and trends to improve predictability and efficiency.
• Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
• Experience tracking delivery health, KPIs, and progress against milestones.
• Ability to drive adoption of modern delivery practices and support organizational change.
• Deep understanding of iterative delivery frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements through deployment, including the implications of challenges across the lifecycle.
