Job Description:

Lenovo is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the successful delivery of complex AI systems, applications, and model development projects. As a Sr. TPM, you will serve as a bridge between multiple technical teams, product management, and stakeholders, operating in a fast-paced, globally distributed company. Crucially, this role requires a strong technical foundation - the ability to understand and articulate complex technical details is essential for effective communication and problem-solving with our engineering and data science teams. You will be responsible for program planning, execution, risk management, and communication, ultimately ensuring we deliver high-quality AI solutions on time. Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Define program scope, objectives , and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.


  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and stakeholders, to drive project delivery. Understand the big-picture and the system level to answer questions and clarify requirements.


  • Risk Management: Identify , assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.


  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress, and issues.


  • Project Monitoring and Control: Track project metrics, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions as needed.


  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field.


  • Experience: 8 + years of experience in technical program management, software development, or a related field , with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects .


  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development methodologies, technical architectures, and industry trends , with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts related to AI/ML , particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.


  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience with project management tools ( e.g. Atlassian) , techniques, and methodologies ( e.g. Agile) . PMP, PRINCE2, or another project management certification is a plus.
