Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in two of the following areas: demand planning, capacity planning, resource planning or forecasting.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, and creating agents to automate workflows, optimize data processes in capacity planning or supply chain environments.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations or other relevant fields.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 3 years of domain experience in cross-functional or cross-team projects in cloud capacity or scaled supply chain.
  • Experience in data modeling, trend analysis, statistics, forecasting, or business insights as well as strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated operational and leadership experience across automation and process initiatives.
  • Track record of change management success across capacity planning, resource management and delivery, new product introduction, supply chain management, or infrastructure deployment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

To deliver a reliable, efficient, and scalable capacity planning experience for Cloud Flex customers while adhering to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) financial guardrails.

Core Responsibilities Planning and Forecasting are creating 18-month resource forecasts (GCU, RAM, Disk) for organic growth and new launches. Ensuring supply meets demand while managing allocations and staying within financial limits. Managing resource distribution from pantries to the flex pool and coordinating with services like BigQuery and PD. Driving initiatives for a touchless capacity pipeline to reduce toil and improve efficiency.

The team ensures Cloud Flex provides the right resources at the right time. They collaborate closely with service owners, supply chain, and power planning teams to power GCP infrastructure cost-effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for planning all non-standard supply actions required to support persistent disk capacity. Plan and execute persistent disk zone and cluster capacity moves.
  • Automate and manage persistent disk quota moves, including co-planning with GCE and coordinating with the pool inventory management team on divestments to fund moves.
  • Provide clear visibility into Confidential Hyperdisk (CHD) capacity and utilization through alerting and proactive management.
  • Support effort to diversify hardware platforms for CHD to mitigate supply risks and increase deployment flexibility.
  • Optimize and devise a multi-platform strategy to manage and operate protected pools including new turn-ups.Lead network-aware initiatives for PD, including via the minotaur and other programs.
