Partner with the bestProgram Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. You will be responsible to lead projects, enhance performance, and increase customer satisfaction. You will serve as a key contributor to Akamai's successleading cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and driving customer satisfaction.
As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:
- Driving diverse, cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, Operations and other business stakeholders) to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Being proactive to identify, manage, and mitigate risks while developing robust contingency plans to keep programs on track.
- Maintaining and communicate the backlog of work to key stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on priorities based on evolving business needs.
- Maintaining, iterate, and execute a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar year.
- Delivering clear, structured program status updates and expectation changes to senior leadership using standardized communication frameworks.
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have 7+ years of relevant technical program management experience, paired with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent foundational experience.
- Possess in depth understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience working closely within technical engineering teams.
- Be familiar with core Internet technologies and protocols, such as DNS, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
- Be proficient with project management tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, smart sheets, Aha.
- Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex workloads and translate technical issues for senior stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from 92,900 - 167,100 CAD/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
