Responsibilities - Review, interpret, and validate Fiber designs and engineering plans, including fiber routing, conduit infrastructure, splice schematics, rack layouts, and points of interface.
- Oversee testing and construction and installation activities, ensuring work is performed to Google standards, industry best practices, and in compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary vendor contact, managing performance, schedules, and issue resolution. Escalate up vendor management chains as necessary if delivery timelines are at risk.
- Test and remediate network fiber assets on both long haul optical transport routes and within metro footprints, encompassing all fiber delivery components.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of fiber delivery assets and attributes in Google's network inventory systems, and manage vendor handover documentation, test results, and technical drawings.
