As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at FAIR, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that accelerate scientific discovery and innovation at Meta. You will partner closely with researchers, engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions across different initiatives. Your work will enable cutting-edge research and the development of state-of-the-art AI products and features.
Responsibilities
Partner with organizational leaders to define and drive technical strategy, program vision, and long-term roadmaps for portfolio-defining initiatives spanning multiple organizations and technical domains
• Establish best-in-class program governance structures and execution frameworks for highly ambiguous, large-scale programs, including defining scope, managing dependencies, tracking deliverables, and driving milestone accountability across cross-functional teams
• Serve as a subject matter expert across one or more technical domains, providing strategic guidance to organizational leaders and influencing technical decisions, architecture choices, and roadmap prioritization at the portfolio level
• Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate systemic technical risks and organizational misalignments, leveraging cross-organizational leadership relationships to institute permanent solutions and contingency plans
• Produce executive-level written communications, technical strategy documents, and program narratives that bring new levels of clarity to ambiguous, high-stakes problems and serve as long-term organizational references
• Anticipate and resolve complex cross-organizational conflicts and commitment gaps, closing alignment gaps with directors and organizational leaders to drive execution of company-wide priorities
• Evaluate program portfolio health, identify when processes will break under scale, and proactively redesign execution models to sustain delivery quality as organizational complexity grows
• Build and lead TPM community initiatives, including creating playbooks for best practices, representing the TPM function in company-wide forums, and partnering with leadership to address organizational gaps and drive structural improvements
• Leverage AI tools and agents to redesign program management workflows from the ground up, driving measurable improvements in delivery speed, communication quality, and organizational scale
• Influence external stakeholders and, where applicable, external policies by representing Meta's technical programs and program management expertise in industry and cross-company forums
Minimum Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in technical program management or a related technical discipline, with demonstrated ownership of portfolio-defining programs spanning multiple organizations at scale
• 12+ years of experience driving end-to-end delivery of large, complex technical programs, including defining scope, managing cross-organizational dependencies, tracking deliverables, and reporting to executive stakeholders
• Experience serving as a subject matter expert in one or more technical domains, with a track record of influencing technical direction, roadmaps, and strategic decisions at the organizational level
• Experience establishing program governance structures and scalable execution models that operate across multiple organizations and adapt to rapidly changing technical or organizational conditions
• Experience producing executive-level written communications and technical strategy documents that bring clarity to ambiguous, high-stakes problems and are used as long-term organizational references
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience redesigning program management workflows using AI tools and agents to drive measurable improvements in delivery quality, speed, or organizational scale
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Track record of building TPM community through leading events, creating best-practice playbooks, driving hiring initiatives, or representing the TPM function in company-wide or industry forums
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience identifying organizational deficits and partnering with leadership to launch new program disciplines or focus areas, including setting strategic direction and building the operational foundation from the ground up
• Experience influencing external stakeholders or contributing to external policies through participation in industry forums or cross-company technical program management initiatives
