Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technical Project Manager (Technical PM) is the technical engagement lead for all BRD, FSD, and UAT activities, working in close partnership with the Forward Deployed Engineer. This individual owns the data pipeline architecture documentation, connector and MCP specifications, endpoint design, analytics requirements, and the post-Day 90 incremental release program. The Technical PM is both a technical thinker and an operational coordinator - responsible for ensuring that every requirement is traceable, every release is tested, and every stakeholder is aligned on the program's forward roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead BRD and FSD development alongside the FDE; own both documents from requirements gathering through sign-off; translate BRD requirements into technical specifications for Astreya AI operations hub, data pipelines, connectors, MCPs, and endpoints.
  • Define the full data pipeline and integration architecture: source-to-persona data flows, connector specifications (API version, authentication, field mappings, normalization), MCP server configurations for real-time AI agent system access, and REST API/webhook endpoint specifications for all outbound AI OpsHub integrations.
  • Own on-demand chart generation requirements, executive view layer design, and AI-generated insights specifications for Lynx and AI OpsHub; define dimension/metric structures, filter parameters, and output formats for operational dashboards and executive views.
  • Lead all UAT and BAT planning and execution across foundation delivery and each post-Day 90 incremental release; manage defect logs, resolution workflows, and client sign-off for every release cycle.
  • Own the post-Day 90 incremental release backlog; maintain a joint Astreya-client prioritized roadmap; manage release cycles at the client's rhythm; document every reprioritization with rationale and revised sequence.
  • Build and maintain the integrated project plan across all Foundation Team workstreams; track milestones, dependencies, and blockers; escalate client obligations seven or more days overdue to the SDM within one business day.
  • Schedule and manage all governance meetings; distribute agendas 24 hours in advance and action-tracked minutes within 24 hours; maintain the program risk register and change log presented at every weekly status review.
  • Manage version control and change management for BRD and FSD throughout the engagement; assess every client-induced change request for timeline impact within five business days.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in technical project management, data engineering program management, or enterprise systems delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring and owning Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) for complex AI/BI or enterprise systems integration programs.
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, connector integration patterns, API specifications, and data normalization practices.
  • Experience leading UAT and BAT cycles for platform releases in enterprise environments, including defect management and client sign-off processes.
  • Proficiency with project management and backlog tools; ability to maintain integrated project plans across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to produce traceable requirements documentation, release plans, and risk registers.
  • Experience managing post-delivery incremental release programs with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AI platform deployment projects involving RAG knowledge bases, Agent-Assist tooling, or intelligent routing configuration.
  • Background in SAP ecosystem integrations (SD, QM, CRM, BW) and understanding of ECC vs. S/4HANA integration complexity.
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) server architecture and AI agent real-time data access design.
  • Experience designing executive-layer analytics: dimensional hierarchies, KPI definitions, and automated insight narrative specifications.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management credential.
