Position OverviewThe Technical Program Manager is responsible for project governance, schedule, contract and requirements review, and cross-functional coordination of AEROS software delivery teams. The role acts as the interface between contracts, program leadership, and engineering execution teams, ensuring clarity, requirements traceability, and accountability. The software development team receives requests from many stakeholders, including Product Management, Sales Engineering, and customer projects. This role will be responsible for reviewing different stakeholder requests and project contracts to ensure functionality is available by project commissioning.
This position is in our Chesterfield, MO office.
Primary Responsibilities- Review and interpret project-specific contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and technical agreements related to control systems software.
- Ensure software scope, deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria are clear, achievable, and traceable to contractual requirements.
- Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and risks in contracts or requirements to drive resolution with stakeholders.
- Work with HQ to plan and track agreed upon work.
- Work cross-functionally with Software and Controls, Engineering, Sales, Product, Commissioning teams to understand requirements and priorities.
- Review software roadmaps, release plans, and delivery forecasts for alignment with contracts and milestones.
- Track and mitigate risks for software development efforts.
- Provide clear, accurate reporting on software delivery status, risks, and milestone readiness.
- Support program reviews, design reviews, and delivery readiness checkpoints.
- Respond to inquiries from customers or other stakeholders
- Provide status on work execution and progress against team KPI's
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRequired:- Five or more years' experience working in a project or program management role.
- Industry experience related to control systems, renewables, power systems, or new product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with different parts of an engineering organization
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to solve problems and resolve issues amicably
- Understanding and demonstrated ability to work with an Agile software delivery team
- Experience reviewing customer contracts
Education- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- PMP, ACP or similar certification is desired
Workplace / Travel- Hybrid in office 3 days / week
