Full Job Description
This position is part of a high-performing team that is immersed in real-time support of the on-orbit vehicle. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support developing flight products for all flights and on-orbit events for the International Space Station (ISS). This role also focuses on the development of Solar Array Constraint Matrices (SACMs) for Operations, ISS Flight attitudes assessments for maneuvers, Real-time mission support activities including day-to-day quiescent operations, development of console staffing plans and contact lists, coordination of flight preparation meetings & training, flight rule changes coordination & disposition, flight/event simulations, real-time console support, lessons learned and post flight/event reporting and anomaly resolution support.
  • Develop pre-flight products for all flights and on-orbit events.
  • Development of Solar Array Constraint Matrices (SACMs), ISS Flight attitudes assessments, real-time dynamic event support.
  • Execute mission support activities including day-to-day quiescent operations.
  • Conduct subsystem performance trending, reporting, and product generation.
  • Support customer requested special studies as approved within current work package.

Education
  • BS or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or nearly related engineering field)

Experience
  • A minimum of five years of directly related experience

License, Cert or Registration
  • Current drivers' license
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
  • May require a Secret clearance or an inactive clearance within the last 24 months, enabling access to various Government facilities

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
  • ISS operator or MER certification preferred
  • MSC Nastran or any finite element commercial software experience is preferred
  • MATLAB experience is highly preferred
  • Background in Structural dynamics is preferred
  • Experience working on human spaceflight programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
