Job Description

Ready to build platforms that enable product teams to put AI to work for millions of guests? We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to partner with engineering on the roadmap and requirements for IHG's AI platform. This is an individual contributor role for someone who thinks in systems, is energized by ambiguity, and can turn messy technical problems into a clear, prioritized plan other teams can build on.

Your Day to Day

  • Ground the platform roadmap in evidence: dig into usage data and partner with product teams across IHG to surface AI needs. Then turn findings into prioritized use case recommendations that balance competing team needs into a single plan.

  • Partner with the AI Platform Engineering team to sanity-check incoming requests, partner to define what gets built and why, and track initiatives from kickoff through launch and post-launch outcomes.

  • Partner with the platform engineers and enterprise architecture on technical trade-offs (e.g. data access, security, and how AI tools should work together) weighing build vs. buy, speed, cost, and scale decisions.

  • Tailor the message for the room: technical trade-offs and platform performance for engineering, adoption and cost impact for executives. Represent the platform's technical direction in forums across the org on engineering's behalf as needed.

  • Lend supplemental AI product management support to other domain teams when they need it and your bandwidth allows without taking on ownership of their roadmap or delaying the platform work you lead.

What We Need From You

  • 3-6 years of experience as a Product Manager in a software or tech-first company. You've worked on AI platforms, machine learning, or data-driven products. If you've actually shipped one that drove measurable value, even better.

  • Working knowledge of what's running under the hood - cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, APIs, eval frameworks, data pipelines, agent monitoring tools - enough to have an informed, credible conversation with engineering about the platform itself.

  • The ability to explain how AI works, what its results mean, and where its limits are, in plain terms that business partners, vendors, leaders, and teammates can act on.

  • A bias toward fast validation, such as testing a quick prototype or prompt rather than guessing, paired with the judgment to know when something isn't working and the confidence to change course quickly.

  • Command of AI assistants like Copilot, Claude, Rovo or Gemini Enterprise, along with everyday tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Office 365, to get your work done efficiently day to day.

Preferred

  • Real knowledge of the hotel guest journey - booking through stay, loyalty, and beyond - with real ideas for where AI can improve the employee experiences.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset: quick to spot AI-tied opportunities, with a track record of turning them into business value cases that hold up to scrutiny.

  • The ability to lead and align people across teams even when they don't report to you.

  • A working understanding of responsible AI, including bias, privacy, transparency, and governance, along with the judgment to apply those principles when they matter most.

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
