  • Manage and mentor the certification engineering team, reviewing submissions, test plans, and agency correspondence for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and interpret changes to federal, state, and certification agency regulations and standards, and direct the team in implementing appropriate responses
  • Oversee submission of efficiency and safety testing documentation in compliance with federal regulations and applicable certification requirements
  • Maintain and manage certification status tracking systems and regulatory change reports across the entire product portfolio
  • Coordinate with KD Navien HQ engineering teams on product compliance requirements for North American market entry
  • Direct and oversee product testing programs for certification, product development, and quality assurance - including AHRI 210/240, DOE, and safety standard test procedures
  • Review and approve test plans, test reports, and supporting engineering data before submission to agencies or internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with NRTLs and third-party test laboratories to schedule, manage, and witness certification testing activities
  • Lead root cause analysis and engineering investigations for product performance or compliance failures identified during testing or field deployment
  • Support product quality teams with technical guidance on HVAC system diagnostics and corrective action planning
  • Own the review, approval, and release process for all product technical documentation, including installation manuals, service manuals, specification sheets, submittal documents, and engineering guides
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of OEM/ODM technical documentation packages, including product customization specifications and compliance records
  • Manage and maintain the master library of certification records, test reports, agency correspondence, and product compliance documentation
  • Provide senior engineering input into new product development programs, including design reviews, compliance feasibility assessments, and certification planning
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance to sales, marketing, and training teams on product compliance, specifications, and capabilities
  • Represent the engineering team at trade shows, customer-facing events, and industry meetings as a subject matter expert

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
