The Technical Manager, Lighting and LED is responsible for recruiting, developing, mentoring, and leading the full-time technical staff. They will also recruit, qualify, and maintain relationships with the freelance community.

A typical day may include, but is not limited to:

• Manage and develop full-time technical staff.
• Coordinate strategic training opportunities for our full-time and freelance technicians.
• Work with Technical Directors and manufacturers to provide targeted training.
• Recruit and qualify new full-time and freelance technicians.
• Create, implement and follow-up on full-time technician growth development plans through-out their careers.
• Travel to show site to build relationships and evaluate performance of technical team
• Manage hours, PTO requests and general management of full-time technicians.
• Consult with Technician Resource Center on qualifying existing and new labor.
• Support Technician Resource Center with staffing of ETP events and assist when needed with rate negotiations.
• Work with technical staff to resolve on-site challenges as able and coordinate with Technical Directors as needed.

To be a successful Technical Manager, Lighting and LED, you should have the following:

• Technical degree or certification preferred
• 5 years of industry experience
• Prior management experience
