What You Will Do:The Technical Management Scientist (Bio) will provide project management support to program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), helping to oversee the creation and execution of advanced government-funded research and development programs. You'll work with world-class scientists and engineers to drive progress towards program goals and metrics that will enable mission success. You will assist with managing current programs, maintaining program organization, and facilitating the transition of program technologies. The ideal candidate will not only have experience in one or more technical areas but will also have experience in managing the execution of technical projects and programs.
What You Will Need:- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
- Master's degree
- SIX (6) or more years of experience with program or project management in a professional working environment, including but not limited to:
- Experience working in and/or familiarity with STEM disciplines (Biology preferred)
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and organizing multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment
- Ability to be part of a team with a national impact on science and technology development
- Ability to be team-oriented and integrate easily into a team with diverse technical backgrounds and expertise
- Ability to be a self-starter, take the lead, and provide support in a team role within a complex, fast-paced, and cross-disciplinary work environment
What Would Be Nice To Have:- Experience performing or supporting DoD or government-sponsored research activities
- Prior experience working with DARPA
- Experience leveraging and integrating AI tools to improve processes and workflow efficiency
- Ability to be flexible and readily adaptable to change
- Ability to organize, multi-task, and respond to quick turn-around requests
- Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate the intellectual content of scientific and technological information to both technical and lay audiences quickly and effectively
- Possession of outstanding attention to detail
- Possession of clear and succinct oral, visual, and written communication skills
