Full Job Description
The SEI Wealth Platform has a challenging career opportunity for a Technical Lead for SWP Data Governance workflow Design, Development and Support. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment and expand existing development skills through technical project work. You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be able to deliver individual code as well as technically lead a team of developers; and can switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.

What you will do:
  • Develop and design technical solutions based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements for the SWP Data Governance Frameworks - Data Archive & Purge, Masking, Data sub-setting.
  • Define and implement data governance patterns for archive, purge, masking, data sub-setting, retention, lineage, metadata, and auditability.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, and maintainable data governance solutions.
  • Partner with data architects, platform teams, security, operations, and business stakeholders to validate solution design and delivery approach.
  • Build validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and monitoring controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Support operational readiness through runbooks, support procedures, production monitoring, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensure the functionality matches the requirements
  • Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
  • Provide technical leadership to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes.
    Responsible for ensuring team designs and deliver code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards.
  • Provide technical problem resolution and application support, as required


What we need from you:
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another related field or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years of prior work experience with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation
  • Work experience in developing PLSQL, Java, Spring boot and shell scripting.
  • Work experience in implementation of Kubernetes framework
  • Work experience in large data flows using oracle external tables, knowledge in oracle data pumps
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working on multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed and delivered as cloud-based solutions:
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and services, especially Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
    • Designing and developing Cloud Native applications
    • Creating data pipelines using Snowflake/DBT/Airflow
    • Deploying and configuring well performing Cloud Native applications
  • Experience with:
    • Relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
    • Unstructured data and persistence models such as MongoDB, Snowflake
    • DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven
    • Job Orchestration tools Control M, Apache Airflow
    • Event/data streaming platform, such as Kafka,
    • Spring MVC and Angular development Event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and API-first development
    • Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana
    • Data masking, tokenization, encryption, access controls, personally identifiable information handling, and secure data lifecycle management


Additional knowledge and/or experience desired:
  • Development experience in the financial services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing
  • Possesses Azure, AWS, or OCI certifications
  • Test Driven Development
  • Application migrations to the cloud
  • CI/CD and DevOps concepts, tools like Ansible, Terraform and library management tools like Artifactory
  • Strong understanding of audit, compliance, data retention, metadata management, and regulatory control requirements.
  • Identity Technologies (OAuth, Azure AD, AWS IAM, OKTA, Ping)
  • Angular, Typescript, or React
