Job DescriptionThe HRIS Analyst is responsible for the ongoing support, configuration, and optimization of the Oracle HCM platform across the enterprise. This role requires deep technical expertise, advanced problem-solving capability, and hands-on experience working within a complex, highly integrated Oracle ecosystem.
This position also supports modern Oracle extensibility capabilities, including Redwood UI extensions, Visual Builder Studio (VBS), and emerging Oracle AI-driven features, requiring a strong technical foundation and development-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities1. Oracle HCM System Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as an escalation point for complex HRIS incidents and defects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across:
o Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, Time & Labor, Compensation, and Absence modules
o Data discrepancies, process failures, and system behavior anomalies
- Diagnose issues related to security access, data visibility, approvals, and reporting outputs, partnering with the Security team when appropriate
- Manage work through ServiceNow-driven incident and request processes
2. Advanced Configuration (Critical Skill Area)
- Design and maintain complex Oracle HCM configurations, including:
o Fast Formulas (expert level required)
o BPM Worklist & Transaction Approval Rules
- Configure and support key framework components such as:
o Elements (eligibility, processing, and payroll-related configurations)
o Custom hierarchies (supervisory, position, and approval hierarchies)
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable system solutions
- Lead and support system enhancements and feature adoption
3. Compensation & Workforce Configuration
- Support and configure Oracle Compensation module, including:
o Workforce compensation plans and cycles
o Eligibility and allocation logic
o Integration with Core HR and Payroll data
- Ensure compensation processes align with business rules, approvals, and system capabilities
- Troubleshoot issues related to compensation processing, calculations, and approvals
4. Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) & Extensibility
- Support and maintain Oracle Redwood extensions and UI customizations using Visual Builder Studio
- Work within VBS projects and environments to support application extensions and enhancements
- Understand how Oracle application extensions are built, managed, and deployed within VBS
5. Version Control & Development Practices (Git)
- Work with Git-based source control within Visual Builder Studio projects
- Manage changes through:
o Branching strategies
o Commit, push, pull, and merge activities
- Participate in structured development workflows supporting parallel development and controlled deployments
- Ensure code/configuration changes are traceable, reviewed, and properly promoted across environments
6. Oracle AI Agents & Emerging Capabilities
- Support and evaluate Oracle AI-driven capabilities, including:
o AI Agents within Oracle Cloud applications
o Configuration, testing, and enablement of AI-driven features
o Understanding dependencies, data impacts, and security considerations
- Partner with functional and technical teams to ensure responsible and effective use of AI features within business processes
7. Integrations & Data Flow Support
- Support integrations between Oracle HCM and external platforms
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data flow issues
- Partner with middleware/integration teams (e.g., Boomi) to resolve defects
- Validate inbound/outbound data and maintain data integrity
8. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and support reporting solutions using:
o OTBI
o BI Publisher
- Perform root cause analysis for data issues
- Support business users with reporting and data validation
9. Oracle Security (Partner, Not Owner)
- Maintain a strong understanding of Oracle security architecture
- Troubleshoot access and data visibility issues
- Partner closely with the dedicated Oracle Security Analyst, who owns role design and governance
- Provide input on security impacts of configurations and enhancements
10. Testing & Release Support
- Support quarterly Oracle releases and regression testing
- Participate in:
o Unit testing
o System and integration testing
o User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Validate system changes prior to production deployment
Required Qualifications:Technical Expertise (Essential / Non-Negotiable)- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion)
- Advanced expertise in:
o Fast Formula development (expert level required)
o BPM Worklist / Approval Rule configuration and troubleshooting
o Oracle HCM architecture
o Elements configuration and processing logic
o Building and managing hierarchies (supervisory, org tree, approvals)
- Experience supporting Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS)
- Working knowledge of Git-based version control, including:
o Branching concepts
o Merging and conflict resolution
- Exposure to or experience with Oracle AI capabilities / AI Agents
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production and integration issues
- Strong understanding of Oracle security concepts and data access

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Redwood UX and Oracle SaaS extensions

The base salary compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
