Full Job Description
You9ll be the person who brings structure, clarity, and momentum to our hardware initiatives - a uniquely complex space where our Payments team, Hospitality engineering org, warehouse operations, and executive leadership all intersect.
You9ll own the end-to-end coordination of how SpotOn introduces new hardware and manages hardware changes - from aligning teams early in the process, to tracking progress across workstreams, to making sure the right people are informed at the right time. This isn9t a role where you9ll be handed a playbook. You9ll write it.
What You9ll Do
3 Drive hardware initiative planning and execution across cross-functional teams including Payments, Hospitality engineering, warehouse operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales
3 Coordinate dependencies and changes across teams for new hardware launches and hardware updates, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
3 Partner with the warehouse team to align on purchasing timelines, inventory readiness, and rollout sequencing
3 Own stakeholder communication with executive leadership (CEO, CTO, CPO) and VPs - keeping them informed, aligned, and unblocked
3 Ensure decisions are grounded in data - pushing the org to make well-supported calls and flagging when they9re not
3 Track and communicate project status across all active hardware workstreams, surfacing risks early and driving resolution
3 Collaborate with product marketing on positioning and go-to-market strategy for new hardware launches
3 Build the processes, templates, and rhythms that will define how SpotOn manages hardware programs going forward
3 Leverage tools like Jira to track workstreams, surface blockers, and keep teams aligned across concurrent initiatives
What We9re Looking For
3 5-8+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a software or hardware-adjacent environment
3 Enough technical depth to hold a credible conversation with engineers - you don9t need to write code, but you need to understand tradeoffs
3 Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives in environments without perfect structure or clear playbooks
3 Strong communicator who can translate complexity into clarity for both technical teams and executive stakeholders
3 Data-driven by default - you push for evidence before decisions and know how to build the case when it doesn9t exist yet
3 Experience coordinating with supply chain, warehouse, or operations teams is a strong plus
3 Comfortable operating as a solo contributor without a PMO to lean on - you9re energized by building, not maintaining
3 Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tooling preferred
3 Past restaurant experience - especially having worked in one - is a serious plus
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to influence how hardware is managed at a company that9s scaling fast and building real things. You9ll have direct visibility with our executive team, meaningful ownership over outcomes that affect our restaurant customers, and the chance to leave a lasting mark on how SpotOn operates. If you9ve ever wanted to build the program management muscle at a company that actually needs it - this is it.
Compensation:
3 Our base pay range starts at $150,000 -$200,000 for this role
3 Please note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan
3 Offers will be reflective of the candidate9s location and experience.
Benefits:
At SpotOn, we put people above everything else. We9re known for our innovative software and technology solutions, but we stand out because of the hard-working humans behind the tech. 3 Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
3 401k with company match
3 RSUs
3 Paid vacation, 10 company holidays, sick time, and volunteer time off
3 Employee Resource Groups to build community and inclusion at work
3 Monthly cell phone and internet stipend
3 Tuition reimbursement for up to $2,000 per calendar year to assist with your professional development
