Full Job Description
Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Technical Financial Analyst II that is responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements. The Financial Analyst II will prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to facilitate the review and analysis of financial data, as well as preparing and filing monthly, quarterly, and annual internal, government and private regulatory reports. Job duties also include designing and developing tools for the automation of accounting, tracking, and reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
• Designs, builds, and develops accounting reporting and automation systems. Develops an enterprise data repository to support planning, management, and decision-making activities. Trains and assists accounting staff in the use of various computer financial information systems.
• Participates in internal and external audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs special, ad-hoc financial and costs analysis, as well as preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly financial analysis schedules of actual vs. budget variances. Prepares detailed annual financial budget and monthly financial forecasts. Records data and statistical information. Assists with reconciliations.
• Prepares a variety of reports and required filings. Verifies the accuracy of reports through review and analysis. Prepares reports for leadership and board presentations.
• Prepares, designs, and develops analysis and detailed reporting on financial measures, trends, and strategic business initiatives.
• Provides financial analysis support to various areas of the company. Communicates effectively with both internal and external customers, following up on questions and discrepancies.
Requirements:
• 6 years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis required; healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
• Traveling between sites and other locations is occasionally required. Must have a valid California driver’s license, an automobile, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required. California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver’s license within ten days of establishing residency. Reasonable accommodation may be provided on a case-by-case basis. Mileage and other reimbursement governed by policy.

• Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Intermediate skills in computer applications and software, especially MS Excel. For example, Power Query, Power BI, Python, SQL, VBA.
• Intermediate skills in mathematics.
• Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
