Responsibilities

  • Draft technical documentation related to site activities and instructions.
  • Assist the Sales team in preparing quotations for client projects.

Full Job Description
EthosEnergy is seeking a Technical Field Advisor to support the Gas Turbine repair and manufacturing team in Houston, TX. This remote role requires global travel onshore, offshore, and at remote site locations. The position supports EthosEnergy's vision of delivering fast, dependable, and creative customer solutions while advancing priorities in quality, speed, and growth. The successful candidate will bring 10-15 years of service-environment experience with gas and steam turbine turbomachinery, along with extensive hands-on experience with GE/Westinghouse frame heavy gas turbine packages.

Job Responsibilities

  • Travel globally to support work at onshore, offshore, and remote site locations.
  • Serve as the lead TFA support for mechanical outage scopes, including Major Inspections and Hot Gas Path Inspections.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, functional testing, and re-commissioning on heavy gas turbine packages and systems, with a focus on GE Frame engines. Apply advanced technical expertise to support customer, product, team, and business needs.
  • Provide technical customer support and outage preparation assistance remotely, onsite, and at EthosEnergy locations.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Support the Sales team with quotation preparation.
  • Lead and supervise teams effectively while maintaining clear internal, external, and client-facing communication.
  • Submit timely, comprehensive site visit reports and all required supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Commercial teams to complete customer documentation and attend required briefings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control retrofit solutions and related improvements.
  • Represent EthosEnergy in site meetings.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Extensive product knowledge and hands-on experience with GE/Westinghouse frame heavy gas turbine packages is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, lead, and supervise teams and job activities.
  • Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills for GE/Westinghouse gas frame units.
  • Ability to interpret technical requests from customers and Project/Contract Managers.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficient with computers, including control systems software.

Experience

  • 10-15+ years of service-environment experience supporting gas and steam turbine turbomachinery.
