MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Executive Director to join our Cyber Practice Team.

The Technical Executive Director, Cyber Practice is responsible for overall technical management and innovation excellence across the assigned Customer portfolio to deliver engineering, cyber operations, cyber development, and mission solutions and services in the areas of AI/ML, cloud, and cyber security. This is a technical and management position at the forefront of the company's approach to innovation and support of full spectrum cyber operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Technical Strategy and Oversight: You will be responsible for setting the technical vision and ensuring programs deliver value while meeting technical requirements and mitigating risks. This includes leading cyber operations and R&D initiatives.
  • Business Growth and Development: A significant part of the role involves actively contributing to business development. This means understanding client needs, shaping opportunities, developing competitive intelligence, crafting compelling technical solutions for proposals, and supporting capture efforts to secure new contracts.
  • Innovation and R&D: You will drive thought leadership, identify and invest in key discriminators and disruptive technologies, and oversee R&D efforts to ensure they align with strategic growth and provide tangible value.
  • Community and Talent Development: Beyond technical and business tasks, you'd engage with the broader community, support talent acquisition, represent the organization at industry events, and foster internal collaboration among technical experts.
  • This position demands a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic business acumen, strong leadership, and a forward-thinking approach to drive both current program success and future growth through technical excellence.
  • Domestic travel up to 10%

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 14 years of overall related experience working with SMES in a technical field OR a Master's degree and 12 years of related experience. Additional equivalent work experience may also be substituted for a degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Executive Branch Agencies, or comparable national security experience, with positive and existing relationships in these accounts.
  • Experienced in systems engineering, cyber capability development, cyber operations and delivering capabilities and outcomes.
  • Ability to foster and build relationships across departments, pursue opportunities, and deliver briefings to both clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, and multi-tasking ability are a must; able to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels (e.g., able to devise a short-term solution that complements longer-term goals).
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, especially when presenting technical topics to a non-technical audience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing organizational change is highly desired.


Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations


The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$297,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
