Expressions of Interest - Technical Director, Offshore O&G Autonomous Operations

We are seeking Technical Directors with offshore automation and autonomous operations expertise for emerging opportunities across the Americas.

As demand for autonomous and digitally enabled operations accelerates across the offshore energy sector, Worley is building leadership capability to support future growth and client transformation initiatives.

Purpose

The Technical Director for Offshore O&G within the Autonomous Operations Business will report to the Director Autonomous Operations, Americas and is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the Autonomous Operations within the focused industries of Offshore O&G or specific discipline areas. This includes aligning the strategic direction for the business, pursuing and winning work, managing resources, managing a team of technical resources with expertise in all aspects of autonomous and automated projects throughout the Americas. The Technical Director will be responsible for vertical P&L through successful project delivery and operational area, building regional multi-discipline and appropriately skilled delivery teams, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Work with the Regional leadership and Digital COE to adopt and deploy vision and strategy in key markets.
  • Manage a team with a focus on profit growth targets, talent development, and capability growth.
  • Drive customer and market focus towards increased sales with growth targets.
  • Collaborate and develop integrated offerings with Worley Consulting.
  • Provide regional reporting to support pipeline growth and operational performance.
  • Deliver short to mid-term complex autonomous/automation customer engagements.
  • Lead and manage teams of varying sizes.
  • Lead customer engagements through opportunity development, proposals and contracts.
  • Accountable for sales targets and profit growth.
  • Support sales pursuits and RFP responses.
  • Strive for continuous improvement.
  • Attract, retain and develop talent.
  • Travel as required.


Qualifications
  • Must have 10+ years of offshore automation project experience.
  • Experience with DCS, SIS, FGS and offshore topsides facilities.
  • Offshore topsides experience required.
  • Program and project management experience preferred.
  • EPC Automation or MAC experience preferred.
  • P&L management knowledge.
  • Workshop facilitation and consulting experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and business acumen.
  • Ability to engage C-suite stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel 25-35%.
