On a day to day basis, responsibilities include:
- Manage yourself and your relationships with your colleagues while working on multiple simultaneous projects with large numbers of participants; [Effectively manage oneself, one's time, relationships, and projects, 10%]
-Use multiple digital systems to gather, manipulate and record data; [use databases, business intelligence, accounting and ERP / MRP software, 15%]

- Build and document models that accurately forecast many different types of costs for RMS' products, based on the data that you collect; [create detailed, accurate, and supported financial models, 25%]
- Write documentation that explains your models, consistently document process, and create audience-appropriate presentations; [communicate clearly and concisely, 15%]
- Make your (and your team members') cost models accessible to others by building and testing prototypes (in Excel or another tool) of web interfaces; [Digitally transform your and the team's work, 15%]
-Other duties as needed or required; [make life easier and better for your coworkers, 10%]. Projects: Technical Evaluations, Should Costs, Cost Modelling.
WHO YOU ARE
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who:
• Has strong customer relationship building skills.
• Has an understanding of non-recurring material, labor and sustainment costs.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Has a strong understanding of commodity pricing.
• Knowledge of how to interpret engineering data.
• Knowledge of cost modeling software.
• Previous experience developing cost modeling algorithms.
Basic Qualifications1.) Relevant Engineering or Technical Background - 3-5 years of experience in any combination of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, Procurement, Production Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related disciplines.
2.) Cost-Modeling Software Proficiency - Demonstrated ability to learn and apply manufacturing knowledge to build complex cost-modeling using tools such as SEER or TruePlanning.
3.) CAD & Engineering Drawing Literacy - Familiarity with CAD platforms (Creo, CATIA V5, 3DX/CATIA V6) and the capacity to interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
4.) Microsoft Office Suite Mastery - Advanced use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis, documentation, and presentation.
5.) Data-Driven Decision Making - Proven experience conducting data analysis and making recommendations using Excel, MATLAB, Tableau, or comparable tools.
Desired Skills1.) Advanced engineering / systems thinking Ability to visualize complex systems, assess second- and third-order effects, and apply quantitative reasoning.
2.) Statistical expertise Strong grasp of descriptive statistics; experience on projects with significant statistical components.
3.) Accounting knowledge Understanding of overhead allocation and cost-allocation principles; coursework or experience in accounting/business administration is a plus.
4.) Information-management proficiency Experience structuring, presenting, or designing information (e.g., UI/UX, library/information science).
5.) Qualitative-data capability Background in disciplines such as history, anthropology, or sociology that involve synthesizing large volumes of qualitative information.
Pay InformationGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $88100.00 - $163700.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$79300.00 - $147300.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$70500.00 - $130900.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$63400.00 - $117800.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
