OverviewIn this position, you will work closely with clients to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS technology to their business, and help shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. You will provide vision and thought leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and support its development and growth into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company.
This team supports domestic and international National Mapping and Charting organizations and Intelligence Community clients including Hydrographic Offices, Navies, and other organizations responsible for Maritime Safety of Navigation. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate Consultants and Technical Consultants to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world. You will be part of a team that influences lasting contributions for communities with the web and mobile applications you create.
Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position.
Responsibilities- Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and implement key GIS workflows using the ArcGIS platform
- Configure ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise to support Maritime Safety of Navigation production workflows
- Understand how Esri technology integrates/interfaces with customers' solutions vision
- Work as part of a team to pro-actively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers
- Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations
Requirements- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar technical consulting or project delivery role on IT-based projects
- Professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, server, and on-line)
- Experience supporting hydrographic data and nautical chart production
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field
Recommended Qualifications- Experience with ArcGIS Maritime for hydrographic data production in support of Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) and/or Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) products
- Experience working on Agile Scrum Teams
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field
