Full Job Description
Currently, we are seeking a Technical Business Development/Solutions Architect. This role supports our corporate headquarters in Lexington Park, MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities: Highly motivated Technical Business Development & Solutions Architect to drive growth across our federal and DoD customer base. This hybrid role blends business development, customer engagement, technical solutions, and capture/proposal support. The ideal candidate has both technical expertise and customer-facing experience and can translate customer needs into compelling technical solutions that align with our capabilities.

Business Development & Opportunity Identification
• Identify and qualify new federal and DoD opportunities using SAM.gov, GovWin, agency procurement forecasts, and industry networks
• Monitor contract vehicles, recompetes, upcoming task orders, and emerging mission needs
• Maintain and support BD pipeline management and CRM systems
• Build and sustain relationships with government customers, program offices, primes, and teaming partners
• Attend industry days, technical interchange meetings, conferences, and networking events to gather market intelligence
Capture & Technical Strategy
• Conduct technical assessments of opportunities to determine customer requirements, gaps, and competitive landscape
• Support capture planning by contributing technical insights, preliminary architectures, and solution differentiators
• Participate in shaping opportunities before RFP release by aligning solutions with customer mission priorities
• Collaborate with internal SMEs, recruiting, and operations to align staffing, skillsets, and capabilities with targeted opportunities
Solutions Architecture & Technical SME Support
• Develop high-level and detailed technical solutions for proposals and customer engagements
• Translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements and architectures
• Prepare diagrams, concepts of operations, modernization strategies, cybersecurity approaches, and technical roadmaps
• Provide technical leadership during bid/no-bid, solution reviews, and proposal strategy meetings
Proposal Development & Support
• Review solicitations (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and amendments to identify technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance needs
• Lead the creation of technical volumes, management approaches, and supporting artifacts
• Gather, organize, and integrate past performance, technical examples, and staffing strategies
• Ensure proposal deliverables meet compliance, quality, and technical accuracy standards
• Support color team reviews and address technical adjudication comments
Strategic Growth & Partnerships
• Support development of small business partnerships, subcontracting strategies, and teaming agreements
• Assist in positioning the company for key contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, SBIR/STTR, set-aside programs)
• Track competitor capabilities, contract wins/losses, and industry/technology trends affecting DoD missions
• Develop technical capability statements, white papers, pitch decks, and marketing materials

Basic Requirements: 3+ years of experience in federal contracting in roles such as solutions architect, technical SME, business development support, sales engineering, pre-sales, or capture/proposal support.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, or Business desired. Bachelor's may be substituted with an Associates degree with Certifications such as CISSP or PMP.

Security Clearance: Top Secret or above (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel: Hybrid with 25% travel.

Contract: This is an internal (corporate) role.
