Full Job Description
Technical Business Data Analyst

What you will be doing:

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Profiling: Write optimized, production-grade SQL and Python scripts to profile large-scale relational and non-relational datasets. Identify systemic data anomalies, patterns, and structural gaps.
  • Data Quality Frameworks & Auditing: Design, implement, and maintain data quality validation rules, exception reporting, and monitoring systems. Define and track key Data Quality Indicators (DQIs) like accuracy, completeness, and latency.
  • Analytical Data Modeling: Partner with Data Engineers to design, build, and optimize data warehouse models and staging layers tailored for advanced enterprise reporting.
  • Root-Cause & Impact Analysis: Lead forensic investigations into data discrepancies or pipeline anomalies. Translate technical data failures into quantifiable business risks and coordinate cross-functional remediation.
  • Technical Requirement Translation: Translate ambiguous business hypotheses into explicit technical data requirements, schema definitions, and algorithmic logic for data engineering teams.
  • Strategic BI Architecture: Develop complex, high-performance semantic layers and interactive dashboards in enterprise BI tools, ensuring strict compliance with established data governance policies.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create visually attractive dashboards to communicate the status of enterprise initiatives, KPIs, goals, and financial measurements.
  • Continually look for opportunities to automate, working with the data team, to save resources in the business units.
  • Compile recommendations into a digestible and actionable format for the purpose of decision making.
  • Support data needs for enterprise prioritized problems supporting a cadence such as weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews; respond to ad-hoc reporting needs while ensuring data accuracy & integrity.


What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Three to five years of Marketing/Business Analytics, Computer/Data Science; or relevant experience in a data-driven role.
  • Skilled at developing solutions based on an understanding of business objectives to measure ongoing performance and understand performance drivers
  • Advanced SQL programming capabilities including Stored Procedures, Triggers, and optimization.
  • Business Intelligence experience with Power BI or Google Analytics or Looker.
  • Strong working knowledge of data warehouses.
  • Must be a reliable self-starter who can work independently and handle multiple projects with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively and write effective and professional communications.
  • Organized, detail oriented and has a constant eye on deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must.
  • Experience with Banking Technology a plus.

Pay Range: $92,366 - $115,457 per year
