About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to support the development of our DWH platform, which enables Power BI analytics and downstream data extracts. This role sits between business stakeholders and the data team, helping translate analytics needs into clear data and product requirements.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong Data Engineering background who wants to grow into a Product Owner path. They should be comfortable working with patient journey data models, understanding reporting needs, and shaping how our DWH supports analytics use cases.

Responsibilities
  • Work with business stakeholders, analytics users, and technical teams to gather and clarify reporting and data requirements.
  • Understand patient journey data models in the DWH and use that knowledge to support dashboard design and analytics use cases.
  • Partner with Power BI developers, analysts, and data engineers to translate business questions into usable data structures and reporting solutions.
  • Suggest changes and improvements to data models so they better support dashboarding, self-service analytics, and data extracts.
  • Create clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for enhancements across the analytics platform.
  • Help prioritize work with a product mindset, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and data quality.
  • Support testing and validation of new dashboards, data model changes, and data extracts.
  • Act as a bridge between domain experts and engineering teams to ensure analytics solutions meet business needs.


Qualifications

Required Skills
  • Experience in data warehousing projects, data modeling, and analytics environments.
  • Solid SQL skills and the ability to work comfortably with complex data structures.
  • Experience supporting BI or analytics solutions, ideally with Power BI.
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate them into data and reporting requirements.
  • Experience writing user stories, documenting requirements, and working closely with delivery teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest in evolving from a technical delivery role into a Product Owner or product-focused role.

Preferred Background
  • Experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Technical Analyst in a DWH environment.
  • Exposure to healthcare and pharma data domains.
  • Familiarity with dashboard design, reporting logic, and analytics use cases.
  • Experience working in Agile teams with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

The strongest candidate will combine technical depth with business curiosity. They should be able to understand how data is structured today, identify where the model needs to evolve, and help guide improvements that make analytics easier to deliver and more useful to the business.
