Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to define product strategy, gather requirements, analyse complex business processes, and support successful delivery of enterprise applications and integrations. This role requires strong expertise in product analysis, API and integration analysis, stakeholder management, and agile delivery practices.

In this role, you will:
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define product vision, priorities, and roadmap while driving business requirement gathering and analysis.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions to create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, wireframes, and business documentation.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to analyse system workflows, integrations, data flows, and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and analyse REST APIs, integration requirements, service contracts, data mappings, security controls, and error-handling specifications.
• Support Agile delivery by managing backlog refinement, clarifying requirements, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and development teams.
• Drive QA, UAT, release readiness, and post-production support through test scenario definition, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in McLean, VA.

What you need to have to be considered
• 9+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, or Product Analysis roles.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and backlog management.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, data mapping, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience creating user stories, process flows, wireframes, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 65447 to $ 117000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
